Tai Chi Chi Kung

Many people ask the question "What is Chi Kung?" & the simple answer is - a series of techniques & practises designed to increase a person's internal energy, health, & well-being.One of the more well known Chi Kung practises that most people are familiar with is Tai Chi.
Chi means Universal Life Energy, or "Life Force", Kung means "discipline" or "practise". Results of consistent practise include: Higher levels of Physical, Mental, Emotional, & Spiritual Energy More intelligence & creativity Greater personal Health & Vibrancy Increased levels of Inner Calmness, Peace, and Balance on all levels, creating an internal oasis Awakening of Latent Healing Energies Increased recovery from illness & disease Transformation of blocked negative emotions into more positive, health inducing emotions Increased Longevity.
A lot of the material & practises taught in this Course are based on the teachings of Master Mantak Chia at his "Tao Gardens" retreat in Northern Thailand and from the Zhineng Chi Kung practises from mainland China.

The emphasis in class will be on learning:
- The Inner Structure of the short 13 movement Tai Chi Chi Kung form
Together with other selected practises/exercises that enhance energy, health and balance, including:
- Chi Kung stretching & limbering
- Chi Self Massage
- Tai Chi Chi Kung (Basic Form)
- Iron Shirt Chi Kung
- The importance of, and training in, Diaphragmatic breathing
- Alternate nostril breathing
- Breathing with retention
- Inner Smile meditation
- The 6 Healing Sounds
- The Microcosmic Orbit
Eligibility: For anyone who has an interest in maintaining high levels of Health & wellbeing.

Depending on availability students may repeat the training at a reduced rate of 20% of the total course fee. Please register marking the form "repeat student". Manuals are not provided for repeat students.
